Thomas Officer, M.D.

Thomas Officer, M.D., NephrologistDr. Thomas Officer attended University of Minnesota, then obtained a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. His postgraduate training from 1981 - 1989 includes an internship at the Mayo Graduate School, a residency at Georgetown University Hospital, and a fellowship in Nephrology at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Officer was recognized as one of the top students by achieving the Alpha Omega Alpha award. He served in the Navy from 1982 - 1985, and was a Lieutenant Commander as well as a medical officer.

He has provided charitable patient care to the community since 1991 by participating in the Moss Free Clinic. Dr. Officer is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology. He serves as medical director of the Fresenius Medical Care-Spotsylvania dialysis unit. In his spare time, he is occupied by the activities of his five children, and enjoys the study of world history.
